PBQ introduces new series of LiFe batteries with numerous advantages |
||
|
PBQ has introduced a new generation of lithium-iron batteries. LiFePO4 batteries are also renowned as ‘green batteries’. In contrast to many other battery types, the lithium iron phosphate contains no heavy metals. Moreover, the battery is constructed in such a way that it can be ‘dismantled’ simply and its components processed for recycling.
The new LiFe batteries from PBQ offer a number of striking advantages. They have a long lifetime of about 10 years, depending on the model and usage temperature, and the number of charging cycles over their lifetime is 2-3,000. The batteries have a self-discharge characteristic that is comparable to that of lead-acid cells. In contrast, charge rates up to a maximum of 1C are possible with LiFe batteries. This is three times faster than lead-acid cells and achieves a reduction of the charging time to around one hour. The discharge capacity at short discharge times is twice as good as that of lead-acid cells. In practice, this means that half the battery capacity is sufficient, and battery space can be saved. |

PBQ further expands VRLA battery range |
||
|
PBQ has further expanded the VRLA range of batteries with three new series of gel batteries. New in the range are the gel batteries pbq 33-12 GEL, pbq 40-12 GEL and pbq 60-12 GEL with capacities of 33, 40 and 60 Ah respectively at 12 volts. The pbq VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries combine a compact design with a long lifetime. The fully-sealed housing of the battery prevents losses and thus the release of corrosive gases. The batteries are characterised by an excellent price-performance ratio. Due to the gel-type electrolyte, less evaporation takes place than with wet-cell batteries, and the battery is more able to withstand temperature changes. A high capacity is guaranteed over the wide temperature range of -15°C to +40°C.
